This fun picture book has been chosen as one of this year's Virginia Reader's Choice books. Two sisters, Janet and Susan, the coauthors of this wild and fuzzy book, used their zany imaginations to figure out what might happen when a dog dropped a tennis ball down a prairie-dog hole. It was definitely "great fuzz frenzy" when that big, round, fuzzy thing invaded their town! You'll LOVE this story!

When asked to write a story of an "unlikely hero with exceptionally large ears," award-winning author, Kate DiCamillo, obliges with this beautiful fairy tale full of suspense, mystery and gallant love! You will love the dry wit of the narrator as she entices the reader to pull for the underdog Despereaux while a spell-binding story of "a mouse, a princess, some soup, and a spool of thread" unfolds.
