The Crawford County Library System currently has 5 books that are being made into movies coming out this year.

Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause
Having fallen for a human boy, a beautiful teenage werewolf must battle both her packmates and the fear of the townspeople to decide where she belongs and with whom. This movie is currently in theaters and stars Agnes Bruckner and Hugh Dancy.

Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson
Jess Aarons gains the strength to cope with unexpected tragedy by going to a secret kingdom in the woods invented by Leslie Burke, a newcomer to his rural Virginia community. This movie will be in theaters starting February 16th and stars Josh Hutcherson and Anna Sophia Robb.

Gone Baby Gone by Dennis Lehane
Vanished, in this complex and unsettling fourth case for PIs Patrick Kenzie and Angie Gennaro is four-year-old Amanda McCready, taken one night from her apartment in Dorchester, a working-class section of Boston, where her mother had left her alone. The movie will be released in October 2007 and stars Casey Affleck, Morgan Freeman, Michelle Monaghan and Ed Harris.

Wayne and Carmen Colson's quiet life shatters following their involvement in a failed extortion scheme. This movie will star Diane Lane, Mickey Rouke, Thomas Jane, and Rosario Dawson. No release date has been set.

Hannibal Rising: A Novel by Thomas Harris
Discover the origins of one of the most feared villians of all time, Hannibal Lector. This movie will be released on February 9th and stars Gaspard Ulliel, Rhys Ifans, and Li Gong.

The libraries in the Crawford County Library System will be closed Monday, January 15th in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert E. Lee's Birthdays.

Tax Forms are Here!
It's that time of year again and tax season is upon us. The Crawford County Library System has received a few of the federal forms and booklets and these are now available at your local library.

We currently have:
1040- Instruction Booklet
1040- Schedules A&B
1040- U.S. Individual Income Tax Return
1040EX-T - Request for Refund of Federal Telephone Excise Tax
1040EZ- Income Tax Return for Single and Joint Filers with No Dependents
1040A - Instruction Booklet
1040A- U.S. Individual Income Tax Return
Form 8913 - Credit for Federal Telephone Excise Tax Paid

Visit www.irs.gov for more information on filing your federal tax return. On this website you can find tax forms, instructions, new tax legislation information, etc. Also check out Free File , a free electronic filing service that, according to the U.S. Government, 70 percent of all taxpayers qualify for.

For information on State and Local Taxes visit DFA-Office of Income Tax Administration. State income tax forms and instructions are available online for you to download or fill in.

And for help with your federal taxes you can always contact your local IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center located in Fort Smith. Their phone number is (479) 649-8602.
