Do you like to create things? Stories, drawings, photograhs, videos, podcasts, knit designs, paper crafts, lego creations, robots, or something else? Meet up with your fellow creative teens to share tips, learn new skills, and give feedback to the library on the tools the library can provide to help you create.

Will include access to computers, legos, and art supplies.

Volunteers will provide free, drop-in homework assistance to K-6 grade students this Fall on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-5:00pm.

Spring (January 20-May 25th)
Free, drop-in homework assistance for K-12 grade students on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-5:00pm. Volunteers and online tutors will be available to assist with homework questions. Computers with Microsoft Office and internet will be available to contact online tutors and do homework assignments.
Note: No Homework Help March 28-30th.

If you wish to volunteer, pick up an application at the library. You must be 14 years or older and willing to commit to volunteering during the Spring semester. Training for volunteer Homework Helpers will be held Wednesday, January 13th 3:30pm. Sponsored by Tracy Friends of the Library.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. 
What To Bring:
  • Proof of identification (photo ID)

  • Social Security cards for you, your spouse and dependents 

  • An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) assignment letter may be substituted for you, your spouse and your dependents if you do not have a Social Security number

  • Proof of foreign status, if applying for an ITIN

  • Birth dates for you, your spouse and dependents on the tax return

  • Wage and earning statements (Form W-2, W-2G, 1099-R,1099-Misc) from all employers

  • Interest and dividend statements from banks (Forms 1099)

  • All Forms 1095, Health Insurance Statements

  • Health Insurance Exemption Certificate, if received

  • A copy of last year’s federal and state returns, if available

  • Proof of bank account routing and account numbers for direct deposit such as a blank check

  • To file taxes electronically on a married-filing-joint tax return, both spouses must be present to sign the required forms

  • Total paid for daycare provider and the daycare provider's tax identifying number such as their Social Security number or business Employer Identification Number

  • Forms 1095-A, B or C, Affordable Health Care Statements

  • Copies of income transcripts from IRS and state, if applicable
