Mad Science: Destina

3...2...1...BLAST OFF!! Launch into high-flying adventure this summer with Mad Science's "Destination:Moon!" celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Our show ignites imagination, fun and learning as we experience space vacuums, principles of flight and even astronaut training!

Book Buddies is a reading program for students entering the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade who are below grade level.

One-on-one or small group sessions are led by volunteers to help young readers develop the skills they need. Sessions are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3:00-4:00pm during June 2019. Each student is accessed at the beginning, middle, and end of the program to record their progress.

Parents must remain on-site in the library during reading sessions. 

Makerspace

For ages 10 to 18.
Create your own S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, and Math) projects or learn more about arts, science, and tech!
3-4:30pm. The library has the following items for you explore and use for your projects:
  • Project idea books
  • Craft/art supplies
  • Sewing machine
  • K'nex and Legos
  • Snap Circuits and Little Bits Circuit Kit
  • Makey Makey
  • Dash robot (programmable with Blocky)
  • Scientific microscope and slides
  • 3D printer
  • Arduino
  • Computers with internet & printer
  • and more!
