Learn to be a pawn star at the library's chess club! Join us as Chess Master Richard Beale leads the club in teaching and understanding chess strategies. All ages are welcome to participate in the instruction and playing, which begins at noon, and runs until 2 p.m. every Saturday. The Tracy Library Chess Club is a USCF (United States Chess Federation) affiliate.

If you are available Mondays & Wednesdays 3:30-4:30 during June and July, you can help 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders improve their reading skills by reading with them and doing other fun activities. Pick up a volunteer application at the library checkout desk and attend the Book Buddies Volunteer training session.

Proceeds go directly to the Tracy Friends of the Library who help purchase books & supplies and sponsor programs for the Tracy Branch Library.
