Learn to be a pawn star at the library's chess club! Join us as Chess Master Richard Beale leads the club in teaching and understanding chess strategies. All ages are welcome to participate in the instruction and playing, which begins at noon, and runs until 2 p.m. every Saturday. The Tracy Library Chess Club is a USCF (United States Chess Federation) affiliate.

For children entering the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade. Space is limited. Registration required. If your child is behind on their reading skills and need assistance, we will have teen volunteers available on Mondays & Wednesdays 3:30-4:30 during June and July to help. Register your child online, in person, or by phone.

We would like attendees to attend all of the sessions. If you child misses more than two sessions, they may be asked to vacate their spot for someone on the waitlist. Sponsored by Tracy Friends of the Library.
