Reinvent South Stockton Coalition and the Maya Angelou Library present a Fall Book Club for Teens, in 9th-12th grades. Join Councilman Michael Tubbs as we take on the journey of reading "A New Day One: Trauma, Grace, and a Young Man's Journey from Foster Care to Yale". This book shares similar stories that our youth in Stockton face today.We hope this book will empower, motivate and transcend the lives of all our students who read it. The Teen Book Club meets for five Wednesdays, starting September 21. Meetings are from 4:30-5:30. Come to the library and use your creativity to build whatever you can imagine with our Lego collection. Lego Duplos are available for younger children. Local artist and educator Raoul Mora will share traditions and arts of the Day of the Dead festivities in Mexico. Participants can make several crafts at this program and will be able to view Mr. Mora's arts exhibit. Sponsored by Friends of the Stockton Public Library.
