#ReinventStockton Summer Book Club

In collaboration with the Library's Summer Reading program, Councilmember Michael Tubbs will host a weekly book club featuring the book, Buck: A Memoir, by M.K. Asante. Buck is a coming-of-age story set in the wilds of urban America, which was reviewed as "an inspiring story about perseverance and finding purpose that is sure to appeal to readers interested in hip-hop, black studies and American pop culture in general." The book club will meet on Wednesdays, from 1:00-3:30.  Participants will have opportunities to talk about major themes of the book and enjoy related activities. FINAL MEETING ON JULY 30 WILL BE HELD AT UNIVERSITY OF THE PACIFIC, WHITE TOWER LOCATION. Sponsored by Friends of the Stockton Public Library.
