Summer Book Buddies
Mountain House Branch Library
Monday, Aug. 3, 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM
Summer Book Buddies is a reading program for students entering the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grades. The program is held on Mondays from 3:30-4:30pm at the Mountain House Branch Library. Summer Book Buddies will begin Monday, June 8th and end on Monday, August 3. Sudents will meet one-on-one with volunteers and read aloud to practice their reading skills. Sessions are conducted by older children and teen volunteers and supervised by library staff. Registration is not required for students. Those withing to volunteer should inquire at the front desk.

Tuesday, Aug. 4, 11am-12:30pm
A lucky group of 12 children 7 years old and above will receive free instruction to learn pencil drawing from a local student.  Classes are by PRE-REGISTRATION ONLY.  Participants will learn the basics of pencil drawing in black and white then dabble in using color pencils as well.
The classes will be held in two sessions.  Session one will be from June 9-30, every Tuesday from 11am-12:30pm.  Session two will be from July 7 - Aug. 4, every Tuesday from 11am-12:30pm. Sponsored by Mountain House Friends of the Library.
