All About Baby-Virtu

All About Baby is a half-hour program packed with baby-appropriate developmental FUN which includes fingerplays, storytime,sharing boardbooks and simple musical engagement. Emphasis is on rhythm, rhyme and sensory connections, but most of all on having a joyful time with others!  Parent/caregiver participation is required. This program is based on "Mother Goose on the Loose" created by Betsy Diamant-Cohen. Check it out on the library's Facebook page! Sponsored by Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library.

Attending storytimes is a fun way to help your children get ready to read. You are welcome to join us as we enjoy animal songs and stories. We'll read, sing, talk, and play!

VIRTUAL Compassionat

Grades 3 and up

Books can help young ones develop empathy and a deeper understanding of themselves and each other. Kids can check out the featured book from the library, read it, and respectfully discuss insights and thoughts at the end of the month.  We'll read novels that address such topics as cultural diversity, neurodiversity, mental health, and more.

Can you still have a home if you don’t have a house? In the spirit of The Thing About Jellyfish and Fish in a Tree comes a stunning debut about a family struggling to find something lasting when everything feels so fleeting.

Join the Escalon and Mountain House Library staff as we make delicious recipes inspired by great reads. Check us out virtually to learn the recipe and steps, or follow along in your own kitchen - we will provided a list of ingredients after registration.

Wednesday, September 29th at 4pm, we will create a scrumdiddlyumptious s'mores milkshake, inspired by the Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Please be courteous to all guests and staff. 
All participants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult
If following the recipe, please keep in mind food allergies and sensitivities and work accordingly.

For Teens (13-19). Application fees? Transcripts? Essay? Test Scores? Recommendation Letters? We'll talk about the college admissions process with a focus on California universities and community colleges.

The virtual meeting link will be sent the day before the event. If no participants are registered, the program will be canceled.

The virtual meeting will be held in Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams meetings can be accessed for free via mobile app, desktop app, or web browser. Video, voice, and text chat available. No Microsoft account is required.
