The Friends of the Harrison Memorial Library is holding an Afternoon Tea and Literary Program, featuring author Kathryn Gualtieri. The local journalist, historian, and author will discuss her most recent novel, The Laundryman's Daughter. She will explain how her passion for history, as well as her experiences reporting for the Carmel Pine Cone, led her to write a series of mystery novels set in Carmel and the Central Coast in the 1920s, featuring her remarkable sleuth, Nora Finnegan. Kathryn will be joined in her presentation by Gayle Ortiz, mystery writer and owner of Gayle's Bakery in Capitola.

Set in the beautiful Sunset Center Theater, Mystery Edition features three bestselling and internationally acclaimed authors, Jeffery Deaver, John Lescroart, Elizabeth George. They will engage in casual conversation about their published works, works in progress, their lives as writers, and the value of supporting community libraries. Lovers of literature and the mystery genre will have an opportunity to meet with these writers at a wine tasting reception and book signing preceding their presentation.
