Caregivers, bring your preschoolers every Thursday from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Have lots of fun interacting with stories, songs, rhymes, and movement. Learn easy tips on how to develop early literacy skills in your young children. Children can enjoy coloring a page, making a simple craft, or playing in our early learning area afterwards. Caregivers must stay with children. 
There will be no Preschool Storytime on library closed days. There will be no Preschool Storytime on Thursday, November 22.

LEGO® Building C
Thursday, Jul. 19, 3:30 p.m.
Families, drop-in to build and play with LEGO® and DUPLO® bricks. The library provides the bricks, you provide the creativity! The whole family is welcome to participate in this exciting afternoon activity. We’ll display your creations online or in the Children’s Room until our next building session. Meet us every third Thursday of each month from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.  Sponsored by Friends of the Stockton Library.

If you're bored after school and want to get your homework done in a comfortable environment meant just for you, and are in the area of the Cesar Chavez Library, come spend an hour with us!

Bring your friends to hang out, or stop by yourself.  Every other Thursday from 4:00 to 5:30 PM you can enjoy retro or modern console gaming, discussing your favorite comics/graphic novels/manga, streaming services, watching anime, and other activities.  (Free snacks and drinks provided by the library!)  Activities change every meet, and your input into what we do each time is highly encouraged.

SAT/ACT Practice Tes
Saturday, Jul. 21, 12:00 - 4:30 p.m.
Teens, are you familiar with the process of taking the SAT or ACT test? Are you ready to take any of those tests? If you answer "NO" to either question, come to the Cesar Chavez Central Library on the 3rd Saturday of the month and take the practice tests with Stef Songco from Sylvan Learning Center. Taking the practice tests will help you familiarize with the test instructions and format and may improve your test score. Also, the library staff can provide additional learning resources to help you prepare for your SAT, ACT, and other tests. Below is a list of available dates for taking SAT & ACT practice tests.

Saturdays 9/16/2017, 10/21/2017, 11, 18/2017, 1/20/2018, 2/17/2018, 3/17/2018, 4/21/2018 and 5/19/2018 from 12:00 to 4:30 p.m.

Each test takes approximately 3 to 4 hours, and the test conductor will have all test takers start  at the same time. Therefore, please arrive promptly at 12:00 p.m.. All practice test materials will be provided.
